NameaWESoME
Version0.2.0
T-Engine version2.3.3
Authorllesinto@hotmail.com
Descriptiona.W.E.S.o.M.E. v. 0.2.0
a Wilderness-Enhanced Sight of Middle Earth

THIS MODULE WILL BE DEDICATED TO ALL THOSE WHO LOVE WILDERNESS TRAVELLING AS MUCH AS DUNGEON CRAWLING

I like thinking in aWESoME as being not a module (that is, a completely new game using the ToME engine), but a customized version of standard ToME.

aWESoME's main purpose is my own amusement. I've made it publically available in the hoping it can contribute to the amusement of other players, as well as provide some ideas for ToME and modules developers.

The criteria I'm following are:

- first, aWESoME will be playable.
- second, aWESoME will keep stuck to the ToME latest official release.
- third, aWESoME won't remove any feature from the standard ToME.
- fourth, aWESoME will try to enhance ToME by adding a plenty of features that I missed in the standard game:
_ - aWESoME main concern is about enhancing wilderness and towns.
_ - aWESoME doesn't care about new races, classes, skills, spells, powers or items.
_ - aWESoME will deal with new monsters, dungeons and gods, as long as they contribute with something unique to either the atmosphere or the gameplay.

aWESoME has been developed and tested using 16x16 tiles. They are separately downloadable from http://modules.t-o-m-e.net/modules/package.php?id=10
It's supposed to be also playable using ASCII characters (please make me know if you feel that something looks weird or wrong). If somebody is willing to provide support for 8x8 tiles, it will be welcome. Any kind of feedback will be also welcome.

WHAT'S NEW IN a.W.E.S.o.M.E. 0.2.0?

Lots of features stolen from Theme, many scripts rewritten as patches (so you hopefully will be able to export them to any other module) and a load of fixes.

The looking of roads and rivers has been greatly improved thanks to Falconis' work.

Tiles for traps and ways-to-branching-levels are colored following the pattern of ASCII characters, preventing an unfair drawback for 16x16 gfx users.

The player can use the enhanced 'y' command in order to offer gold to beggars.

AND REMEMEBER...

If you play using graphic tiles, don't forget to update them from http://modules.t-o-m-e.net/modules/package.php?id=10 !
